A Note from Malcolm

The AI Agent economy is fast approaching.

Agents are purpose-built AI models to complete specific tasks on your behalf (think software coding, financial trading, healthcare diagnostics, or legal discovery). There will soon be thousands of use cases, and you’ll likely be leveraging dozens of these agents daily.  Such solutions will leverage the generic power of LLMs and apply them to very specific situations.

The AI agent movement parallels the killer apps of the Client/Server revolution of a generation ago. Back then, the technical foundations (PCs, servers, networks, relational databases) emerged first, with business applications following years later. The key difference? Those Client/Server apps were often unwieldy enterprise-scale solutions like SAP or Oracle. Today's AI agents, in contrast, are agile, rapidly proliferating, and tailored for individual use cases and personal consumption (basically, your smartphone apps on steroids).

To stay ahead in any profession you’ll soon need an “exoskeleton” of sorts composed of multiple agents.  Knowing which ones are right for you, and how to use them, will be key.
